Default lt1 to lt4

What would I see going form LT1 to LT4 package. I mean hp and tq wise over stock. I've just bought the LT4 package.

Well, stock your LT1 was rated at either 275/285/305 Flywheel HP depending on year or if you had ram air.

Factory ratings for LT4's that I have seen were 330 and 340 Flywheel HP.

That's just "stock" LT1 vs. "stock" LT4. I think an LT4 will respond a little better to the right mods given the superior heads and intake.

the LT4's have almost always dynoed FAR better than the LT1's. they were highly underated and the heads flow really well. with a fully ported heads/cam/Intake LT4 package, you will easily see about 10-15 rwhp more.

LT4 package, you will easily see about 10-15 rwhp more.
I tend to agree but 10-15rwhp more isn't all that much over a good set of ported LT1 heads for most people.

doesnt the lt4 package come with the hotcam?

400 flywheel horsepower is no problem with that set up.

the lt4 cam comes with the package, but the heads and intake are sold seperately
