Default Key FOB issues....

97 SS LT1. whenever i use the key fob to lock the car, you can wait a few seconds and the alarm starts going off. any idea as to why this is happening?

mine was doing the same but when you locked the car the alarm would go off 10 sec later... it was the shocksensor in the right rear fender. it had gotten wet inside and fubared it

passengerside remove that pannel and its sitting on the wheel well take the tape off and look in it

what panel? out of the door jam or remove the wheel well?

no pop the hatch and there is the pannel with the small speaker. it has 3 locks on it take that one off and youll see it sitting on the wheel well Also your spare tire and jack is in the same location
