Default 93 guys got ?

Have any of you got changed your "huge" oil pressure sending unit for one of the smaller 94+ units? With the longtubes the big sending is a pain and i'm thinking of trying to swap to a smaller one.

93's are a PITA! im in the process of putting on back together now. EVERYTHING is different. But non the less the sensor has to be there.

Shut up Harold! The 93s have everything in the right place, it's all the other years that are odd!

It's a standard thread, you could go to a hardware store and get a 1"-2" straight and 90 degree elbow and relocate the unit so it's out of the way. There is also a fitting in the top of the block behind the EGR that you MAY be able to use as well with some type of adapter.

I ended up going with a newer unti, but its got a different threading.
its threaded into the top of the block, where the newer ones go....

Bet you could make a remote mount with a hose and extend the wiring

I prefer where 93s is. Easy to swap out.

The plug on the back of the block can be relocated to the existing thread and just swap the location. I just got a 90 degree elbow at a plumbing store, never had problems with it ever. I dont even notice it unless I need to pull the motor again..lol

Make sure its not cracked when you reinstall it. Mine was and it turned out to be the reason I have a missing piston. No oil pressure = spun bearing + limping it back = boom.
