Default Replace cat with cut-out, or leave cat?

I'm going to get a cut-out, but I was wondering is it to raspy to replace the cat with a cutout, or should I just put the cut-out after the cat? I tried searching couldn't really find what I was looking for.

Putting the cutout after the cat pretty much defeats the purpose of it.

You still have cats on your car! :O Wow hack that thing off and put the cut-out further down the i-pipe like right before the rear tire.

It seems everybody lives somewhere where you dont have to meet emissions. Mines registered in MD, the cat is staying on.

Raspy? no...backfire? no...pop? Sometimes, i'll try to post a clip of mine or try to find one. On stock manifolds a cutout with no cat is loud as ****.

You have a 95 so you should only have front 02's so no. It's raining here the next few days so no video from me yet.

Just replace the cat with the cutout. That's the way it is on my car. I like it. It's extremely loud, but also sounds good, when you get on it. It does pop, when you are downshifting, to come to a stop, and it makes your whole car shake, but it's fun.

I just have the cat taken out. I machined a tapered piece to fit into my Cat back flared end pipe end. I then welded the piece to a plate that I drilled and tapped for the stock two bolts to fit on the bracket to hold the pipes together (and to mount to the car). The plate mimicked the plate at the end of the cat.
I take one bolt out and loosen the other and let the exhaust hang below the y pipe at the track. The car in my opinion sounds good and dosen't pop unless I'm deaccelerating hard.
Are you gonna use the cut out on the street? Then I might consider a cut out, other wise I don't know why you would.

Yes I plan on using the cutout on the street. That's the whole reason I want it. I really want a sound clip of stock headers with a cutout. Also I want a sound clip of exhaust with no cat or headers. I have 2OTL so without a cat will this be raspy and pop?
