whenever you start an LS1 with LTs or any exhaust work it seems to have that loud *** roar as soon as it fires, compared to our engines' low rumble.

Well, the last time I tried to start my LS1 car it blew chunks out of the block and oil pan. Combine that with the fact I haven't yet started my LT1 car, nope. I do know the LS1 roar you are refering to though.
