Looking cam size help for LT1

Looking cam size help for LT1 I am soon to be getting heads ported to match a good cam. Anyone have any ideas for a good cam to make good power all across the band? The car will be street/strip. Not an everyday driver. I am getting full exhaust as well. I am currently running a 135 shot of Nitrous with ported TB and intake, straight pipes (getting replaced) and looking for the best bang for the buck. I have $2500 to spend. Thanks
no mention of gear, stall or weight (F body, Vette, B body, etc) but the Comp CC 503 is a pretty good choice for something you wanna shift around 6200-6300 RPM. It works with inexpensive springs and you can usually find a used one in the for sale section for cheap.
if you wanna shift at a higher RPM (6500-6800 RPM) and have some gear (at least 3.73) and some stall (2800-3600), you can get away with a larger cam like the CC 306/GM 847.

If you haven't had the heads ported yet I would check out some people that specialize in that field such as Advanced Induction or LLoyd Elliot. They know the LT1 better than an average head porter and will give you way better results. Not to mention you will get a cam and valve train with their setups and you can do it right at $2500.00 Just a heads up.

Thanks for the help. I decided to hold off on the heads/cam package for now. I am getting Kooks LT headers, BMR high-flow cats, and most likely SLP Loudmouth cat-back. I can't wait. The car goes into the shop on Monday.
