lt1 price ? So hears the deal. I'm swapping a lt1 in my 85 TA. Local yard has a complete liftout lt1 from a 95 z28. 95lt1w/4l60e and complete harness w/136,000 miles for $1500
or a 95 lt1 from a impala no tranny but has complete harness w/60,000 miles for $790
I'll still need a 4l60e to make the swap work, but the 60,000 mile block sounds like a better starting point. I'm getting a new cam for the motor so the smaller cam in the impala lt1 won't matter. The only other issue would be using the iron heads, but I've heard they flow better than the aluminum ones.
How much does a used tranny run?
Are the above prices about right ?
Trying to get a heads up so I can go in and maybe get things cheaper at the yard.
