Default Synthetic... ?
Hey all I recently had my LT1 motor rebuilt, ( stock rebuilt.. ) lol and I'm currently running 5W30 regular motor oil.. did one oil change on it so far.

Now the question... My rebuilt motor has about 5,000 miles on it... would it be ok or would you recommend synthetic motor oil? Or is it to late? Would it be better?

any help would be great!

I would go ahead and put it in. You are probably far enough through the break-in period.

i would say to early you want atleast 15,000 miles if i rember correctly
