Pushrod problem
I have the comp cam hardened pushrods with the GMPP guidplates that I installed last time about 7000 miles ago so they are fairly new. There was alot of ticking thinking it was the lifters which I also changed out yesterday to LS7s but now im thinking that it was the pushrods ticking not lifters.
So now im thinking of what could of caused this, you guys think they bent with the higher rpms? I only have a stock cam and spin it to 5800 rpms at most. It would seem logical that if they bent it would cause them to make more friction with the guideplates enough to gouge them. You guys think that switching to some chromoly pushrods would fix this problem?
