Need to upgrade my ignition????

alright what does everyone got???? need to upgrade my stock opti to put out some more spark...... i like MSD but i have seen Crane.... i have an MSD opti so i am considering keep my ignition in the same family....Thanks

your opti is going to put out just as much as it always has...but most of us run a msd blaster coil and or a msd 6a or 6al box. and bigger plug wires

Why do you think you need an "upgraded" ignition?? Unless you say boost or juice you are wrong.

I have a 6AL and wires. I use a stock coil and an OEM opti. The only reason I have for the 6AL is the 2 step, and the rev limiter. I have heard that the early versions of the MSD opti had some problems; I am not sure about now though. An upgraded ignition is not necessary in most situations. Unless you really feel like spending a bunch of money to say you have MSD parts, it's not worth it

so upgrading the ignition is no good.. what about a LTCC set up or Delteq set up???

Those who spent hundreds on them will swear they are worth it BUT they say things like "smoother idle" and such no substantiated power gain claims. Again not worth it.
