Yes it will fit, it should be a 4l60e but the real queston is what year camaro. In 96 they swiched the pumps to PWM (pulse with modulated)so thats what need to match the ecm.
So if it's a 94-95 you should be ok, 93 is a 700r4, and the 96,97 would be the 4l60e as well with the pwm, you can look at the pump and see it pwm is cast into it. The tail shaft off the f- body will have to be reused as well.

Yes, the F-body tail housing has the three holes for the torque arm bracket, the buick tail doesn't. the tail housing is held on by 4 bots and it's easy to change. If you have some sort of aftermarket torque arm relocation bracket which moves the torque arm off of the tail housing then it makes no difference which tail you have.
