Tranny Mods To Prevent Damage I am very close to purchsing a stall for my 700r4 transmission. The tranny is almost 3 years old with a stock rebuild. I know putting a stall on this tranny will add tons of stress to it, but blah. I don't drive much, and when I do the car is never beat on. Always kept below 3k, and your occasional "flooring it" a few times per week, literally (this is my daily). Car may see track 2 or 3 times a year. Let me know what you guys think I should purchase prior to the installation of the stall. Some folks told me a bigger/better tranny cooler, deeper tranny fluid pan, and also to throw in a shift kit for ***** and giggels. What do you guys reccomend? Any specific parts? Thanks in advance for any information!

Stupid question that is kind of off base...Why the 700R4? I searched for this a few days ago and never found any info on a swap.
As far as the stall goes, you will want the "bar and plate" style as they are more efficient. Put an external filter and a fan on the cooler. That will keep you good.

Yo have to get the transmission oil cooler, it will definitely help it out even if you are not beating on the car. I have the edge 3400 stall in my daily driver and it runs great, I do not have the deeper pan, if someone else can chime on that, the guy who built my transmission said I did not need one.
I have the original stock 108k mile 4L60E in my WS6. It has a Fuddle 3400 stall, B&M 26k GVWR tranny cooler (compact and efficient, it's nice), a Summit brand deep pan, and a TransGo HD2 shift kit. This trans has held up to a fair amount of power and as low as 1.61 60' times at the drag strip. It has been taking the abuse quite well.
