I like them, where did you get them from? I am always just too cheap to get a set.

Why even put something back there? Now, making them like storage boxes would be another story

Looks good. That would be perfect to mount nitrous bottles on.

There are some companies that make a rear seat delete with a hatch so you can mount N2o or a sub.

My 10 speaker is perfect for me. I drive a performance car, we remove weight, not add in more! 1-2 subs + 1-2 amps + bass cap = too much. That's not even including box weight.

Do you have a pic of them out of the car. I'd like to built a set that are leather wrapped to match my seats, my rears are useless anyways.

I need some storage.

Without putting anything back in, you save about 6 lbs. total for both seat bottoms. They don't weigh much.

more than that..your taking out the seat bottoms plus the back that folds down plus all the seat belt equipment. you'll have to looks it up on the weight reduction list

according to the list 30 for rear seats + 10 for seatbelts...so 40 isnt too bad. I'm sure putting the boxes in added a few lbs back

I said seat "bottoms". I just pulled all that stuff out last fall. Weighed everything. More like 35lbs for me with what you listed.

Am I the only one who thinks these are ugly? I'd rather just leave an open space

^^^agreed, they look good as fitment goes, but id rather just have empty space, if you get them to match they'll look ok.

The Carpet might not match but he's trying something and isn't that what modding is all about, one's personal preference of there car and doing something new. Personally i don't like the look of them missing and thats part of the reson why my seats are still in my car.

Looks great, but I'd still prefer it just w/o seats. More storage area If you're going to do like that picture, might as well just make a drape-cloth of carpet attached to the back of the seat that can flop over when folded down to cover up everything. It'd look almost the same. There's really not that much difference in space either, between a folded seat and what Kel did.
