New project I just picked this up. 97 Z28 A4 T-Tops. My question is that every post I read in these forums tells of some popping noises. Mine does this. When going Wot it just pops and sounds like the car is missing. Anyone know what that can be It has some sort of intake, and exhaust with no cats and cut-outs.
what kind of popping are we talking about? like knocking? pinging? or are u talking a suspension noise? a little more specific might help and maybe the area u hear it from. most lt1's ive driven didnt seem to have a popping noise but then again its been a while. good luck! give us some feedback and well see if we cant figure out ur problem!!
i get the same **** and it sounds really ugly for emample ill be driving 40mph and won shifting it and when i pop it into 1st gear at like 20mph and just let off the gas it'll start poppin like a misfire ??????

Exactly. It feels like the car is misfiring. Its coming from the motor and its not the suspension as that needs to be fixed also. Thanks for the rims comment and I still need help on this guys......oh the car has 112000 miles. I'm thinking it has stock plugs. Would replacing them help? Its probably not that easy tho as I just did plugs on my TBSS and that was bad.

That or it's the distributor cap and rotor, which will be SUCH a treat for you to experience!
