Default 96 wiring + PCM on 93 LT1?

Hi guys. I have never posted here but bought some parts and I see people are really friendly here.
I'm a noob into LT1s. I have searched and got some of the general idea what I should do to get my engine running but could use some of your opinions.

The story is: I got screwed and received 93 LT1 instead of 97. The engine has all of the wiring cut. Now I'm getting a 96 wiring + PCM and would like to put it on the 93 motor. The engine is in Mazda RX7 - so all I'd be dealing with is running power to ECM/PCM - but that's easy so I'm not going to touch this subject.

Here is what I'd like to know:
Can 96 PCM be modified to work on 93 engine? (I'm getting tune to remove VATS, skip shift, etc.).
From what I know 93 has different opti (including plug), different IAC, oil pressure sensor location different (going to use Mazda wiring here) and supposedly 22 injectors vs. 24 on 96, and some other stuff.
I'm thinking that I can cut opti plug of 93 opti and solder in 96 plug - so my old opti plugs into 96 harness. Cut IAC plug of the 96 harness and solder in 93 plug.

the MAF - can tune remove it from 96 PCM?
should tune change injector size in 96 PCM from 24 to 22? Or will 22 injectors work without re-mapping?

Is there anything else I should worry about?

Please help me - the weather is getting better and would like to hot-rod a little.
Thanks

93 motors have 22# injectors, you can tune out the MAF and have the car run in speed density mode like a 93 does. However I have a feeling it might just not work due to a 93 being OBD1 and you have ODB2.

So I would have to get OBD1 PCM? Like 93, 94 or 95?

What about rewiring opti and IAC?

96 and up have crank shaft position sensors which works off a reluctor ring that is on the crankshaft behind the timing cover it uses it to detect where the crankshaft is and relays the info to the opti. the 93 motor wont have the channel on the crankshaft for the keyway that holds the reluctor ring in place. youll more than likley have to get an obd1 pcm and wiring harness

And the opti wouldn't work without tuning out the crank sensor on 96 PCM?

Let's say I swap the plugs on 96 wiring and get 95 PCM would that work? 95 doesn't have crank position sensor correct? So it would be like having 96 motor with 95 PCM swapped in correct?

i'd let it sit 4 more weeks if it meant only having to go through this once. do as much research as you can before you make a decision theres no feeling like getting parts in that youve waited for and then for them not to work properly. you may be able to ask someone in the service department at gm. hell call em up. be suprised if you get anybody on the phone who knows anything helpful most of the time if it isint on the screen in front of them they dont know ****. most of them know as much about these cars as a pet rock but it may be worthwile.

My car has been sitting 4 months or more. Just makes it all the more sweet to drive again.

Yeah on my first conversion to 350 it sat from May to April. It has to be quicker this time w/ LT1, my emissions are coming in few months, gotta get it running soon.
