Default Anyone from MASSACHUSETTS IN THE HOUSE?

Got a pretty good question for you guys...

FL really doesnt seem to care much about what you do to your cars... ive got a couple buddies running OPEN lt's daily... but i was wondering... im originally from a town called Webster, MA and im seriously debating on picking up an Fbody here and then making the move back home to wokr for my dad.

I already had thoughs of a 3600stall, 4.10 gear, longtube headers, custom grind cam, Summit Intake tube, 58mm TB, N2O Outlet plate 58mm TB 50-200 wet kit, Welds and drag radials...

my question though IS, if i get a catted offroad ypipe, and put a pair of electric cutouts on the headers for when i go to the track... do they care about that or is that a big no no?

thanks guys!

Phil

My impression is it all depends who you end up going to for the inspection... One thing to keep in mind is cars btween 83-95 must pass the sniffer test every other year. My guess is failing the sniffer or noise violations would be the time you'd be most likely to run into a problem with having longtubes on the car.

The cutouts also are illegal but again I doubt that would be noticed until failing the sniffer or noise violations etc...

Take it easy

i didnt realize cutouts were illegal... probably be easier to hold onto stock Ypipe and have the cutouts put on an aftermarket ypipe and just swap them out at smog time haha
