sub frame connectors

Has anyone tryed to make there own subframe connectors.

I personally have not but I have a friend who did. They don't look as nice as he can't weld, but thinks he can lol, but they work great!

I made my lower control arms, and subframe connectors out of 4130 chromoly tubing pretty light and everything seems to perform great. I keep meaning to get pictures up but with school and work and driving i just dont have anytime. Ill try here this week and try to get a few snaps.

My freind made his own subframes, its just a huge straight tube on each side... they prolly are stronger then ones you can buy, but these prolly arent as easy to install or as pretty....
