Default What do you think?

I bought a 96 Firebird Formula Ram Air a few weeks ago. The guy claims he was able to do a 13.2 in the quarter mile. The only mods he has done that he said was shorty Edelbrock headers, X pipe with 3" Bullets,no cat, 4.10 gears, Manual Tranny, 30lb injectors, MSD Opti, 8.5mm wire and the NGK Spark plugs. Do you think that his time is possible considering it is assumably stock? I mean the car feels strong and powerful but doesnt' seem like he has cammed it yet. Hasn't been programmed either. Also what would you do for your next step I was thinking programming and then cam it when I get the money for it. What cam would you go with that still lets it be driven daily and would get me around the mid 12's with this set up?

I see that people possible easily!

We can run high to mid 13's in auto cars, low 13's with headers and full exhaust and GEARS is simple in a manual car!

That times very possible, especially w/ the 6spd & gears...Theres so many cams out there for the Lt1 try doing some research. Some popular ones are the hotcam,cc503,cc305,cc306,847,etc etc etc. By the way your gonna have to get programed/dyno'd after the cam so you might as well wait

There is no most common cam. Some you need tuning for, some you dont. Some pass the sniffer some dont...The ones I listed for you are probably the most popular. No cam really needs the heads and intake modded anyway, your going to have to be more specific.

If your going to leave the heads and intake stock, the cc503 is the biggest you will want to go.
