Default Help Me Decide How To Rebuild!!!!

First off my motor is all stock with 124K miles and I want more power.. Should I reuse the current block but cleaned up a bit or should I buy a new short block like below? I plan on going with LE1 or LE2 H/C, I haven't made up my mind on which one. What would be the most sensible decision?

i found this short block on ebay:
Eagle 3.480" 4340 Crankshaft
Eagle 6.000" Connecting Rods
SRP Pistons
Perfect Circle Rings
Clevite Rod Bearings
Clevite Main Bearings
Clevite Cam Bearings
ARP Main Studs
Balance Rotating Assembly
Fully Machined GM 327 Casting Block w/Deck Plates
Blueprinted and Assembled Short Block

Eagle is crap, Scat is still cheap imported stuff but the quality control is better.

Honestly though I think the block, studs and bearings are the only good choices in your whole post.

I think a lot of guys endup putting in new shortblocks that are a step BACKWARDS from stock. The stock parts are pretty good and the stock machining is better than Billybob's machine shop down the road.

Detonation will hurt stock pistons and a lot of guys do not realize their choices in popular parts and tuners cause detonation. The stock rodbolts can stretch and take out the rod bearings too a concern if you are taking it up over say 6500rpms. Make power below 6500 and use good parts and tuning that don't detonate and the stock shortblock works well.
