The last set I got were powder coated steel, but even wih the rack moved I would be banging the pan and headers on the ground everytime the front end came down. The engine would be too low in the car, hanging out the bottom too far. I probably just need to put motor plates in it and be done with the engine mount issue. Don't really like the way I have I mounted right now. Works, but could be lighter.

I was fighting traction issues with radials until last weekend at Ennis. Different rear shocks fixed that, now I can't see where I'm going again. Guess I'll have to put training wheels on it now.

Good luck, Ed

I think that the rain date is going to be the first weekend in June. I doubt that I will make it, because I will just be getting back from a three week Disney Panama Canal cruise and trip to Disneyland and I will have to go to work (My Wife and I are serious "Disney Maniacs").

Thanks. The car hasn't been out of the trailer since Mooresville. All of the IHRA Division 9 races are 1/8 th. I'm sure that I will run at least one 1/4 mile event this year, but it wont be before I get the sixty foot and 1/8 th times down. I plan to work on a few things next Saturday, so I will take some more photos then.

Still haven't taken the car out of the trailer, but here are some new photos.

I know it needs cleaning, but I haven't had time to clean it since the last race.

The torque arm is the BMR Extreme along with a lot of the other suspension components.

The mileage is correct. This car has been a race car since new. It has been completely taken apart twice and has been painted underneath once. I would guess that it has had at least 10 different LTX combinations since 1995.

Yes, blast from the past...

Doing some investigative research.... Just wondering Gizmo, in this car you're doing how extreme are the cam lobes you use and how high are you revving?

The cam in that motor has stock lift with approx. 260 intake and 270 exhaust duration. I would have to dig up the old cam card to tell you any more. I really don't turn it that hard. I shift at approx. 6800 and cross the quarter betwean 7200-7500 depending on what gears or tires are on the car. The new LT4 will be just a little different!

Giz your car is amazing. I wish someone like you lived nearby, I'd probably never leave your house. I have the only cammed LT1 cars around here I think.
