I have three sets of these mounts and had the exact same issues as you (2 sets LT1, 1 set LS1). If you look at the k-members that F. J. makes, he mounts the rack ahead of the factory position. The NHRA no longer allows aluminum mounts in Stock anyway. I now build my own mounts out of chrome moly.
I was fighting traction issues with radials until last weekend at Ennis. Different rear shocks fixed that, now I can't see where I'm going again. Guess I'll have to put training wheels on it now.

I think that the rain date is going to be the first weekend in June. I doubt that I will make it, because I will just be getting back from a three week Disney Panama Canal cruise and trip to Disneyland and I will have to go to work (My Wife and I are serious "Disney Maniacs").

Verdad Gallardo Thanks. The car hasn't been out of the trailer since Mooresville. All of the IHRA Division 9 races are 1/8 th. I'm sure that I will run at least one 1/4 mile event this year, but it wont be before I get the sixty foot and 1/8 th times down. I plan to work on a few things next Saturday, so I will take some more photos then.
Still haven't taken the car out of the trailer, but here are some new photos.

The torque arm is the BMR Extreme along with a lot of the other suspension components.
The mileage is correct. This car has been a race car since new. It has been completely taken apart twice and has been painted underneath once. I would guess that it has had at least 10 different LTX combinations since 1995.
