Default DOes a ws6 hood take the place of a k&N CAI???

EXPLANATION:I am new and I own a 100% stock 94' trans am (except for ws6 rims lol). I am poor right now, BUT(this is good) in about 3 months my mom is going to marry a guy who is pretty loaded (for the first time I'll be a rich kid)...this guy want to "bond" with me so I thought what better way than to do that under the hood of a car!! I want whatever modifications I put on now, to be compatible with future mods...I want the best for my car...even though I may only be able to afford the little things now.

QUESTIONS: I am going to start with exhaust...def. GMMG, in my opinion there is no substitute I know it is expensive, but I will buy thru the next GP or used on here...if u have one let me know. now my QUESTION, i was wondering I will soon buy a ws6 hood/air box for my car for my car...is there any point in buying a K&N CAI now...doesnt the ram air take the place of a CAI...or can I have both for more hp? I am pretty much a noob to the car scene so if someone could also tell me what kind of heads/cam I should buy...my car will be heavily modified and I will add a power adder....the car will be driven about 4 or 5 times per week and I want it to be reliable...but really powerful. thanks guys

"WS6" rims, are just usually the same 5spoke rims the rest of the T/As got, but chromed. Just so you know.

The ram air hoods have a huge debate. Most sway towards that a CAI is actually a better power producer, some say no way. It's a toss up, and really only depends on what you like. There's always the "what about when it rains" comments, to which factory boxes have some sort of prevention cover for that, but then that makes it less ram air So to get the ram air to be comparative to the CAI's power, you'd want to remove that rain guard, but then you're stricken to nice weather (which isn't bad).

Just go with whatever makes you happy, but if you really can't wait 3mos, then get a CAI now. Find a Moroso one, they're the same but cheaper. If you do get a CAI, since you'll be a "rich kid" after, you can donate the CAI to me

^yup WS6 get 17x9's and they are silver if from a '96 and polished if from a '97. The stock rims on the formula and t/a's are 16x8's.
