Default '95 LT1 starting issues

I have become concerned with my car. Last fall, one time I started it, and it was missfiring really badly, kind of sounded like it had a cam, shut the car down, waited a bit, then started up and ran perfectly fine. No codes. Fast forward to yesterday, and I tried to start it, fired, but I let go of the key to early, so it didn't start. Then it would only sit there and crank for a while. Took 4 good tries to get it to start, but it started and ran perfectly fine again. No problems since. Now, I'm betting it is the Opti, but is there anything else it could be? Am I right in my thinking?

I had something close to that happen to me. I had got in the habit with previous cars where I would turn the key to crank it but would time it just right so that when I let off the key, it would be just barely past the point where it was crunk and then run....but I mean past like within milliseconds.

So one day after an oil change I went to crank it and let off just before it was time. Now when I tried to crank it, just turned over and over for like 7-10 seconds. Usually crunk up in about 2. Now I don't care to test it.
