Curious about possible roller rocker noise
Curious about possible roller rocker noise I have the steel 1.6 crane rockers with polylocks. When I put them on, I adjusted them near a half turn after valve lash. I think they're the culprit as to way my car is making alot of noise. Any ideas?

i see that you don't have a LT4 KM listed in your sig. I would recammend that you get a a LT4 KM because with roller rockers the stock KM can detect false knock and can cause your timing to retard a few degrees. the LT4 KM is less sensetive.
mine are super noisy, almost embarrassing. Ive had them readjusted so manytimes and it still sounds like i have a couple sticky lifters. Hell i even replaced the lifters lol. My car runs really shitty up top.

I got the LT4 KM, I did just forget to list that, haha. My car runs like a top, its just a noisy sob. I guess I'm normal then, haha.

You are fine then. Many guys that install the Hotcam kit make the RR noise their first complaint, but all the ones that I have heard (at least the ones done right) have that distinct sound to them.

id honestly have to hear some ones in person, because mine is really loud. My buddy has 1.5's on his 85 transam and you can barely here them.
He also is running some decently thick edelbrock tall valve covers, maybe thats why his is so quiet.
Im thinking about just buying a set of Composite, or magnesium vette valve covers and seeing what happens.

Brett Foote Well this makes me feel much better. I knew everything I did was well adjusted and done properly, but yet it still sounded like a strange weak exhaust leak/valve chatter noise when throttle was added under moderate load. This seems like the cause in most respects.
