I was there in like 2003. Were you there??? If so you might remember the car. Greg Bunner at Bunner Engine Development built my old motor (355 LT1) and it ran 10.40@131..... nasty little motor.... I used to go to the streetraces out there near kmart I think....[/QUOTE]
Yeah i remember... Lol greg bunner haha he was supposed to do all my machine work this time around but, he stiffed me, He had my block for like a month and all he did was take out the cam bearings and hot tank it lol.. So i took it to performance for the machine work and let ed at the HP factory assemble the bottom end... Yeah i remember a few guys around in 03.. you remember that guy jeff albrino i think is how you say it with the "385lt1" on the tags.. also a blue f-body like yours?

Heheheh You mean scott abrino???? Yeah I remember him. he lives in Ohio now. Car is torn down AFAIK while he waits on getting enough cash to finish it.... He helped me put my TH400 in.... Surprised Greg stiffed you. He seemed like a pretty straight up guy when I worked with him. Motor ran hard too.... It did better than he thought it was gonna which was weird.... But car kicked a thrust bearing after a few thousand miles.. don't know if he set it up wrong or it just happened but it happened.. lunched an 8-9K dollar 355....
A good friend of mine and probably one of the best machinists in northern california built this motor in the car now... it took a long time but only because i don't have the money tree out in the backyard.
i'm happy the way it turned out...
as far as cauliflower ear my ears still look a little jacked up (i got the stitches out today).... But I guess that's better than being a poser wearing affliction shirts at the mall and you tell that they've never ever been in a fight their whole life... at least now ppl can look at my ears and say "he must be practicing to be a cage fighter like kip in napoleon dynamite"

The car looks nice. I have a few questions for you. Do you plan on putting the cowl plastic back on? What made you decide to go around the dash rather than through it with the cage?
I just started BJJ two weeks ago and got my Gi in the mail today. It's fun and a lot more intense than I expected.
