95z with 94 lt1 problem please help ok so my frends car is sitting and has been since like january it has a brand new msd opti in it and new water pump, he couldnt get it fixed so they took it to the local gm stealership and found out it had spark knock so they fixed that and it ran great for about 4 days then now when he starts it it will idle for like 5 minuted/opperratng tempersture then it will die and not restart till it cools off... any suggestions on how to fix this thing?
thats really odd, sounds like as soon as it goes into closed loop it quits. The o2 sensors are what causes it to go into closed loop, id put it on a scanner and see what they're reading.
Which opti does it have in it? The opti for the 94 or the 95? They are different opti's (one is vented and one is not). Also, which computer did they use, the 94's or the 95's? This may also cause and issue with figuring out the opti if you had different years opti's for different years PCM's.

the opti that we had pulled of was a non vented one and i wasnt there for the istallation of the new one because it ended up going to the dealership for it, it did run before and then suddenly started doing this

they wont fix it because they fixed it one time and dont know whats wrong with it this time last time it had spark knock, how that happens idk, plus my buddy goes to lincoln tech and his car is here at home and he is broke as a joke
