Air Fuel help! I'm new to this air/fuel computer stuff,so please be understanding if I seem stupid, but I could use some info.I bought my 95 with a broke transmisson so I had not seen the car running on the road just sitting still at idle. I'm getting readings on my gauge and I'm not sure if they are good or not. It is a auto meter that just has lights and the car idles up in the stoich then when I put it in gear it bounces back and forth betewen stoich and lean. Going down the highway it does the same thing when you give it some gas then it goes to the rich side. The car has a mild cam (.525) with 1.6 rockers, long tubes. The guy I got it from had PCM4 less set up the computer for all the work he was doing on the car. I just do't have anyone around where I live that works on the LT1 cars, so I really could use some input on what I should do.
The air fule gauges that tap into the stock narrowband will act exactly as you describe because the pcm varies AFR like that.
Thiose can be useful for part throttle tuning of carbed engined but NOTHING else. Putting one on one of these cars demonstyrates a complete lack of understranding. Hopefully the rest of the car was done with more knowledge.

Thanks for that. He didn't put the motor together a shop where he lived did that. So what do I need to put in the place of that gauge that could be of help to me. I see other threads talking about different one's but is all still something I'm trying to learn about.
