Question about optispark Hey guys. I have a 95 Z28 that I got but I'm taking out the engine because it has a blown head gasket and there was too much rust in the cylinder walls. I bought a used LT1 long block from a 94 and the opti from my car will not fit it. Is there that much of a difference between just 1 year? And if I just buy an opti for a 94 block should I be fine? Need answers A.S.A.P. Thank you.

Weep hole, different connector and the drive is larger. There were some changes made during 93,94,95. Buy a 94 Opti and you'll be in good shape. I recommend a A/C Delco unit. I've read where MSD's Opti is becoming less troublesome now days. You could try it.
