Couple of questions ...
it is unknown miles and Im just being cautious , but I would like to build it as a stroker with a .030 overbore and different crank (383) + -
do these engines tolerate that kind of build well and has anyone had good luck with one brand over another (kit wise or just parts in general)
Im only looking for a small HP increase with the ability to spray up to 200 HP
on it at the track I'll probably use the stock intake system with a possibly larger set of injectors and mabye a small cam increase also...
im working on a limited budget but have a mechinest connection that can get the stroker kit for a good price and do the block work but Im just wondering what the best set up would be for that without breaking the bank ...
and also I am wondering what do the LT1 engines use for crank and rods as compared to a "normal" smallblock chevy do they use the same crank/rods as the standard 1 piece rear main seal engines that came before it or are they specific to the LT1 only?
also are the pistons in them cast or forged stock?
I should know (I worked on them for years) but never noticed what exactly they were ..LOL
