any last ideas on the idle?
any last ideas on the idle? ALright just wanted to post this before i give up and take it to a shop. This winter i pulled my heads and sent them to Lloyd ellio, while i was at it i replaced the lifters added longtube headers and put it ford 30# injectors. I reassembled the car and got a pcmforless tune before i started it. when i started it the idle was all over the place but at least it ran. I thought it was my IAC so i bought a new one and it ideled at 900 rpm which is where i was told it was supposed to. i would take the car out and it would run for a while and then die. i brought it home put it up on jackstand and started inepecting stuff. I replaced my alternator and starter thinking i had charging problems. Where i am right now is the car starts runs fine for about 2-3 min and then wants to die. As soon as i put it it drive it dies. There is a new IAC and my voltage to my TPS is spot on. I do not have a scanner so i cant tell you the IAC counts but i did do the continuity check found on shoeboxs site and everything checked out of. I checked over and over for vacuum leaks, i even followed all the lines with carb cleaner listening for idle pick up and got nothing. I just dont understand. I also wanted to say that my oil pressure seems low and when it starts to surge before it drops the oil pressure starts to drop with the car and its IDle. Anymore ideas to check before i throw in the towel?

Don't know the year of your car, but I think the newer ones might have an oil cut off switch if it gets too low.
Also, if you have the thin SVO injectors, I think I read recently that they run different than the stock style (fat type). So you might have gotten a tune but not tuned for them correctly (would've been lack of information given).
