9 inch need help on brakes

Default 9 inch need help on brakes

hello i have got a 1994 camaro and i ordered a rearend from quick performance seems really nice but i need some brackets to hook up the factory brake cailpers. I would buy there 600.00 brakes but just dont have money right now for them so im tring to find another option. I have checked everywere for brackets dont think anyone makes any even thought of going to drum hate to but may have to for now also the 9inch has the big axle ends thanks

should only have to put your backing plates on the axle tubes then re insert the axles, then bolt your calipers up.

hello thanks for reply but the bracket bolt circle is different size and the brackets sit to close to rotor

what brand rear did you buy? shouldnt really make a difference though. the brackets should fit directly to the end of the axles just like they came off the 10 bolt. pictures of what youre talking about would be nice too. i cant really picture what youre saying.

it was about 2 years ago when i put mine together so its a bit hazy but my moser unit came with shims so the brackets wouldnt hit the rotors. i know i just reused all my stock parts for the rear brakes. i thought only the ls1s had to worry about buying new plates

I just ordered a 9" for my 97 from EPP, i was told the factory brakes will bolt right up, i think they need some kind of shims for the calipers like was said, but mine will come with them, so there are no issues, just a simple install, so you may want to contact your supplier & tell them whats up, i'm sure they can help you.
