A/C not working

A/C not working LT1 M6 Formula w/A/C. I bought the car, a/c worked great (8 years ago). The a/c started acting funny 2 years in, and I had the entire system repalced... Condensor, this, that, EVERYTHING! Cost me about $2000.
A/C worked fine for about a year, then crapped out again. I've just lived without it, as I've moved cross-country since the original work was done.
So, knowing that the condensor, etc. are relatively new parts, where would I start troubleshooting the A/C not working issue? I've never worked on a/c before, and really don't know where to start.
