Default Why so slow?

I have a 95 Z28 with 60K on it. It is an A4 with a 3200 Vigilante converter. I have removed the AIR, EGR, ABS, ASR, and added 4.10's, a UMI torque arm, double adjustable LCA's Hal QA1 shocks on the back. All I did to the motor is put on Pacesetter LT's, a Moroso CAI, and remove the knock retard from the PCM and lean out the AFR at WOT from 4500-5800. The best I can muster is a piddly 13.12 at 101 in the quarter. It runs consistant 1.75-1.8 60' times with MT ET STREETS Why is my car so slow?

That is not slow for a bolt-on LT1, your accually doing quite well, you are "dead on" the ETs with that MPH of 101, i run 13.7s @ 101 with a suck azz 2.17 60ft, mines just a bolt-on LT1 also with 3.42 gear & a 6sp., i would be jumping for joy if i ran 13.teens , so don't sweet it, your doing great .

I don't know, but it looks a little off to me. My 130,XXX mile bolt on car has trapped 106 on the stock tune in decent air. I've also logged a little better 60' times with less gear, less stall, and fewer suspension mods.

weight and temp./humidity make a big difference. try a mezeire electric water pump and 160 th. also you could run your fan to a relay and then to a switch. the electric water pump alone, should pick you up over a tenth. for dragstrip only purposes, take a jack and some tools and remove the serpentine belt for a couple passes. (make sure your battery has a good charge). removing the drag from all the pulleys will pick you up atleast .15-.2. the car will rev amazingly quicker.

"remove the knock retard from the PCM and lean out the AFR at WOT from 4500-5800" Put this back and get a hot ignition box. Heads and cam are in your future.

Stock tuning has these cars running rich at that rpm , that's why I leaned them out. I was seeing FALSE knock at that rpm also so that's why I took out the retard in the PCM. When I removed those things, I picked up 2 tenths. I also forgot to mention I have a Mallory 685 box.

maybe with the 4.10s your tranny is shifting into 4th at around 1000ft mark which would kill your times? That's just a guess, I was thinking of doing 4.10 to help me get in the 12s but from what I researched 3.73s r better than 4.10s for A4s in the qtr. What's your car weigh?

True, if it's a 4l60. The car is a 95 so it's a 4l60E. My 95 will shift into 4th under wot. When the car was stock I pushed it to around 155 mph to see if it would go that fast and it shifted fine.
