ATTN nitrous users Is there any way I can retard the timing on my LT1 only when I am using my nitrous? I have a mallory 685 ignition box. I dont want to have my timing retarded all the time. Just when I am spraying.
mallory box is FAR superrior to a digital 6...exspecially with their problems...
mallory box i believe you run your power through the wot switch to the relay and the yellow wire(it will say timing retard trigger) and there set how much you want taken and it will only take when the nitrous is on

I have no idea what you're talking about. I havn't had any problems with my digital 6 and the digital 6 is a sinch to hook up, only took me like 30 minutes to install the whole thing and I was ready to go. and the timing only gets retarded when I use the nitrous. when the nitrous solenoid isnt activated it runs the normal amount of timing that the computer sets it at. but when the solenoid is activated it pulls the timing. and I also belive that the Mallory is FAR bulkier than the MSD
