Opti looking for a second opinoin
Opti looking for a second opinoin Car does not want to stay running.
I have power to the coil. And on a spark tester its not jumping the gap so . I grab a coil and it did not solve it.
Bust out the Multimeter and I have 1.2-1.7 ac volts on the opti signal wire while cranking
It just sits there and back fires like crazy and I have to pedal it when slowing down or it will just die. I have to Heel toe while stopping
At idle it only sits at like 10psi map at 900 rpm and I can not find a leak with propane or starting fluid. It all started when I was driving in the rain a few weeks back and it back fired and died but then It was down for two weeks while I changed the clutch, Now the past two days its gotten bad and worse
So is it time for a new opti or what? Let me know if you want more information cars torn apart in the garage Thanks guys

I agree with above, cap and rotor most of the time will fix it w/o spending the money on a brand new opti

No a cap and rotor will not fix a resolutuion signal, but how many of those are caused by leaving the cap and rotor go till spark starts going the wrong way?? Like oh say back through the electronics.
