One of the retailers websites states it isn't for LT1 and LT4 engines. I take that as it won't work.

I just bought a CC306 cam but haven't finished putting the motor back together yet. I too have heard nothing but good things about it so I hope it's all that it's cracked up to be. I found it the cheapest at WS6store for $245; about $15 cheaper than Jegs and Summit.

It is better to plan where you want car to be... ie 11.8 at XXX MPH then determine what power is needed to achieve that goal. Then price it, then be honest with yourself and decide if you are willing to pay for it.

It is cheaper and more effective to decide where you are aiming, than to build a car and see where it hits.

Good luck

CC306 is a good cam because its been out for so long, the tunning is there and has been for years since its so popular. Also the cam works well with both motor and nitrous applications. Theres some better cams out there, for its time it was a good cam and depending on the set up, the 306 is really predictable on what kinda power the car will make. If i didnt have to pass smog I wouldnt have sold it

Thumpr Camshaft are flat tappet cams. They have been designing newer retrofit roller cams in that line and they will not work in our cars.

I ran a Combination Motorsports cam kit in my old LT1 and LT4. It rocked the house, even cam only was real impressive, with the ported LT4 heads, I put down 417 rwhp with an auto. It was a 230-236 112 lsa. .55x range with 1.6 rr.
