so with full exhaust cold air, a built tranny, a cam and good suspension mods, and 4.10 gears and sticky tires i should hit 12's?

You should see LOW 12s with all that. Where are you racing? Speedworld or firebird? I always found speedworld has faster times.

Come on! If you can't get a CAMMED v8 past high 12s you shouldn't be racing or you need a lower altitude track.

That's just pathetic. If my car couldn't do low 12s after a cam, I'd sell the damned thing. That is COMPLETE driver error.

+1

I went 13.00 @ 107 with just LTs, CAI, and ET Streets. Pull the front sway bar and I would've been 12s no problem.

I think 13.0 is a know brainer with bolt-ons & good 60ft. times, i saw a half assed bolt-on 94 Z auto run 13.2s & 102, but his 60 fts. were in the 1.8s, with my bolt-on high mileaged pig (158K), i ran a 13.7 @ 101 with a 2.17 with street tires & good DA, that was with the 3.42 gears, with a 1.9 (which is doable), i'd be in the 13.4 range in the same DA, i wasen't a believer that these cars had it in it, untill i started getting my driveing under control, i don't even have a tune, still running off the stock pump/opti, once i get this 9" in, i'll be installing some MT Radials & looking for those 1.86-1.88 60fts @ 13.3s, thats with a 3.50 gear, with a tune @ cam change, 12.9s should be know problem.

really everyone i have heard from says firebird has the better hole. i've also heard of peoples 60' being much slower out at speedworld cause the box is just too slick.

I have a 96 Z28 T56, I have every bolt on that dose not touch oil. I have a home made 3" cold air intake, 1 7/8 Hooker long tube headers, no cats, 3" Y-Pipe, 3" exhaust all the way out the back, stock tune in the computer, LT4 Knock sensor, Centerforce Dual Friction clutch, ported MAS, Intake coolant by pass 4:10 gears!!! I put 291WRHP AND 321RWTQ and ran 12.89 at the track!

Personally, I've always done MUCH better at speedworld in the 60' 9 out of ten times my launch is perfect there, or close to it.

The only thing I can think of is maybe it sucks with DRs or slicks, cause I've NEVER used anything but street tires.
