true duals with flowmaster single chambers
flowmasters are great mufflers they get a bad rap because of the "american thunder" catback with the 80 series for our cars, that flows like a constipated old man. the single chambers kick absolute *** and id say go with them, theyre probably some of the best ive heard im sure youd be happy with the sound

Hey that sounds familliar!
For those that say don't use flowmasters really should pay close attention,the bad rapp the "CROSSFLOW" design is the performance culprit,it gives more sound than performance! when you MAN UP and get the mufflers designed for actual performance that changes things quite a bit....
I am not saying that FLOWMASTERS are the best,i just happen to really like the performance as well as the sound.....
I think when I redo my true duals and put them over the axle with a CME I'm going to use either flowmaster 1 chambers, or the 40 series race mufflers, or spintech, or the magnaflow bullets. Right now I have the dynomax bullets dumped at the axle with 2.5" pipes and an X. Its not too loud, but I think I may have ruined then when my head gasket let go and dumped coolant into them, its alot quieter now. Mabye it will burn out and get louder again
No not the super 40s, the 40 series race mufflers, I think they are a 3X8" case. I have a set of super 40s and another set of super 44s sitting in my garage but they have homes in the future but have never been installed on anything. Well I guess my brother had the super 40s on his Impalla SS with an LT1 and it sounded good, but he thought it was too loud for a baller car LOL so he replaced them with the 50 series mufflers. I thought it sounded good though
