LS1 intake conversion help + pics!
LS1 intake conversion help + pics! I need a better way to connect the MAF to the lid. The angle is really off. I currently have a rubber 4" to 3" reducer from Lowe's. What should I do? Also, should I cut the rad support circled in red for increased air flow? Thanks, Matt

Personally, I would trim the reducer on both ends as much as you can while still getting a seal and buy another rubber adapter from the box to the MAF. Even the LS motors from what I've seen have an angle to them (or factory ram air LTx)
Well the problem is that the Lid is designed so the MAF slips into it. How would I connect the MAF to the lid with another rubber adapter? (not sure if I described that correctly)
Going with Formula350's idea, I think I will cut about .5" off the rubber coupler and get a small section of 3.5" tubing/pipe to connect the MAF to the lid. I can angle the new section to straighten out the MAF. Should I try to find some 3.5" PVC or aluminum tubing?...
