A/c question

A/c question so basically one of my cooling fans turns on as soon as my a/c compressor turns off . just wondering why? it seems like it should be the other way around though? thanks daniel.

Here's a schematic of the fan circuit ref shbox " http://shbox.com/1/fan_schematic_1995.jpg " On a '97 both your fans should always run in either low speed or high speed mode. The three relays either run the fans in low speed series mode where 12V goes thru one fan and then the other. Or high speed where the fans run in parallel mode and 12v is applied to each fan. The A/C high pressure switch feeds the PCM and the PCM then picks the line to run both fans at at low speed. Sounds like you have a bad relay in the fan control circuit causing low speed to fail and high speed to run only 1 fan. The relays in the box are swappable move them around and see if the problem changes.
