Default increasing from 9 psi to 12 psi

What's up guys...

What do you guys think of bumping my boost up to 12psi? Right now I'm running 9 pounds, but I'm considering bumping it up a little more. Any thoughts?

the car is gonna create massive amounts of heat under full throttle and heat is damage, ie extreme wear and tear on a motor. you will definately want a intercooler for the supercharger and might want to think about an electric water pump pump as well. Make sure your bottom end is forged because you might melt a piston. Make sure your rings are somewhat new otherwise you might get massive blowby depending on the condition of the rings. I would look into a set of headers with larger primaries(might check kooks for a custom setup) to make the most of the extra boost. You might want to make sure the converter is compatable or you could flash right through it. Just some thoughts

I've got the electric water pump, Eagle forged bottomend, and Edelbroch TES headers with offroad Y... but I think I'm going to wait until after the intercooler. Thanks for the info

those arent the TES Carb Legal Headers are they...THEY SUCK if they are. Get some real long tube headers and you'll make considerably more power if thats the case.

Don't really know, I really want a set of Hooker Longtubes though I just would rather spend the money on heads or aftercooler system... Eventually I'll make the switch, but for now they're alright.

as long as youve got a good forged bottom end you should be alright, as well as the H20 pump. Like stated before i would get an intercooler, you can get one of the ATI units and make it work with your system or if just the aftercooler is available from vortech you could pick one of those up also.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna doin the Vortech aftercooler and then push the boost up after some suspension mods and DRs to help me hook better, cause right now traction comes few and far between with my launches. I do need more practice, though. Thanks for all the advice, guys
