Default what lifters should I go with??

heres the deal, i built my engine last year and had problems with the lifters bleeding down and not hold prime. I just assumed they would some out of it and seat eventually, 2000 miles later they still wouldn't. (kinda noisey) so then i had that set warrantied and recieved another set of federal mogul lifters and i am still have the same problem...

what should i go with??

ls7 lifters??
standard comp lifters?
comp R??
crane?

What did you do with the originals? I have never bought a roller lifter, always reused what was there and never had an issue.

If you are having issues maybe reevaluate how you are adjusting things.

My motor was trashed when i bought the car so i threw those lifters away.

Is there any length difference between stock lifters and the ls7's?? reason being is i just bought shorter comp pushrods and installed them because my orignal pushrods were way to long...

The lifter plunger cup sits slightly higher on the LS7 lifter. This "can" effect geometry, you would have to check that with your current length PR.

My $.02 is Crane lifters.
