SES light flashes on and off???
SES light flashes on and off??? OK, today I rebuilt the alternator and flushed out the power steering fluid on my Z. Well, I drove the car out to a friends house and left it wen we went out to a movie. When I got back and left, I fired the car up and noticed that it took the fuel pump about 10 seconds to prime (it normally takes about 3-5 seconds). Then I started the car and the SES light came on, then as I backed up it went off. Then it came back on again when I came to a stop. It flashes on for about 10 seconds and then off for 5 seconds, then back on again and it just repeats. I have had an idle issue in open loop for quite some time now and I have not been able to get it solved. It will idle erratically between 700-1000 RPM in park and 500-700 RPM in drive. I cleaned the MAF and EGR before and that did not help the issue. It is and has been thundering and lightning outside here while I was at the movie. Has anyone ever had this issue or have any ideas? BTW, the car is OBD1 so it shouldn't be a misfire code. I am going to try and get it scanned tomorrow.
