affordable water pump

could you guys give me a list of the best affordable water pump for my 97 trans am , thanks for your input

hell yeah i have an ewp and it made a good difference, they cost about 200 plus you might need to get the internals pressed out. still way cheaper than an ls1 ewp

I just installed a Summit EWP and it cost me only $140.00 .... and just to let you know Summit pumps are CSR.

CSR is the way to go. I like mine a lot. It has been on there a couple years now and has been great.

The EWPs are a good way to go because they free up some power. I have the Meziere but I am sure the CSR is good to. Both require some modification if I am not mistaken. With the Meziere, the fan shroud has to be cut. With the CSR, the water pump housing has to be "notched" for the pump to fit. Either one is not difficult. And where it says you have to use a hydraulic press to press the old gear out of the housing, a hammer will work just fine. When I did mine, I painted the water pump housing black to match the EWP and it came out nice.

As far as where to get them, I got mine from WS6store but many of our sponsors will have either one. Good luck.
