idle is too high,whats the problem?

idle is too high,whats the problem? recently after installing headers my 93 lt1 trans am has a more altered idle,it feels like it has 500hp when it does not.Before the headers it was normal idle stock,now its idle feels alot more pronounced. I can feel it more,what could it be?

Does it surge at all? If so look to see if you have a vacuum leak. If it feels like its missing make sure you have the plug wires on tight and in the right spots. Also check to be sure you did not burn any wires on those new headers. Could just be you are not used to the new sounds.

no,the sounds are fine,plugs are fine, i dont know if it might be a vaccum leak,but everything is tight,sometimes it does not do it,other times it does,it just doesnt feel right,at idle it feels like the engine is gonna cut out,but it doesnt.
