Default Just bought a 94 Formula!

Hey everyone.

Just bought my first LT1 car today . Its a black 94 Formula A4 with T-Tops. All stock. Drove it home on a 50 mile trip, and loved it. It has 2.73 gears in the rear end and is awesome. At about 55-60, I'm only doing about 1200rpms! I dont even think I used 2 gallons of gas on the way home . This may sound crazy, But I think it gets better gas milage than my old V6? It was aweful. I thought I was driving a tractor trailer truck around with that old thing. I dont know WTF was wrond with it, but it just chugged gas. This thing, on the other hand, really impressed me. I was worried about getting a LT1 car with these gas prices, but from what i've just seen, i'm amazed. My gas gauge barely even moved.

I just got done detailing the exterior, and it looks really good.

I dont have any really big plans for it, just going to be a bolt on car. Possibly a set of tires and wheels for it also .

I'll post some pics up of it tommrow. I only have one from my cell phone that i'll post up.

Welcome to the LT1 world. I love it as well. I have 2.73's and they were ok at first but I can't wait to get them out now. Happy modding and I'll look forward to the pics.

Nice car! Looks like the same options as my Z28. Mine is also stock for now (except the wheels and lowering springs) but very soon I will be starting the modding. With most of the bolt-ons and some sticky tires you'll easily run low 13's with it. Swap the gears and 12 won't be hard. Bolt-on LT1's are nasty machines.

2.73's are nice for a while, but I had to bump mine up to 3.42's to give the car more of a kick. Nice ride.

Looks great man! You will very pleased with the way your car performs with just bolt ons. I nose out most stock-ish ls1s with my full bolt ons

One FREE mod that makes LT1's look a whole lot better is removing the side molding... I was afraid to do this to my car at first, but once I did... WOW! I would never go back to having it. It creates such a sharp edge line and makes the car look so much cleaner!

What do I need to do that? And will I need to buff it out?

Got any pics you can show me of your car?

Thanks,
- Mike

Great to hear!!!

I'm hopefully going to get my Pasesetter long tube headers and Magnaflow exhaust system ordered by the end of the week.

Then I need some new speakers, and the old owner threw in a aftermarket radio since the radio is pretty much shot. He also threw in a CAI which I need to put on as well.

I put almost 90 miles on it yesterday . Got it insured, then went to the DMV and got it registered, then went out cruisin. I thought of any excuse I could to drive it. I definately think owning a slow *** POS V6 Camaro before this makes me appreciate it more.
