Galley Plugs

Has anyone run screw in galley plugs (the ones located at the front of the block) without the .030 inch hole in the middle with a mechanical water pump and stock style timing chain?

Should I have the galley plugs drilled or will I be okay without the small holes?

It just helps oil the waterpump gear. I have one with a hole and one without(don't ask

).

A lot of people don't do it and it causes no problems that I'm aware of.
