Default 93 Z28 M6 to TH

I have done an A4 to M6 swap in my 01 SS when I had it, and now I am learning about TH350 or TH400 swaps into my 93 M6...

Is there anything in particular good or bad about doing this with a 93 car? I was thinking since the A4 cars in 93 were'nt even computer controled this would be a plus?..

Is it easier to go 350 or 400?

Any advice besides search (because that I am doing.. )

Well if I decide to make the car a 75% strip 25% street car thats what I will do. Undecided as of yet..just learning..

I did the TH350 swap from an A4 in my car. There really isnt too much of a diff either way, with the TH350 you can reuse your stock driveshaft IF you get a long tail trans. Other than that all the same parts need to be replaced to run either. The TH350 is lighter than the TH400, part of the reason I went the way I did.

Its a pretty big job, but was well worth it. Really like my setup, I didnt get a MVB in mine. I can manually shift by dropping it down or leave it in drive.

The TH400 is stonger, hince the reason its heavier also. The gear set is a little diff in each trans, especially 1st gear. The TH400 get out of the whole a little stonger than the TH350 due to the gear set. Lots of similarities few differences. Good luck!

Hey there i did a th-400 into a 94 m6.... I love it man i went with the RMVB, all you really need is the crossmember from BMR $200-$254 depending on if you need a tourque arm mounting bracket.. shifter, stall, flexplate, tranny cooler, and a new driveshaft (Strange is really good to work with too).. Much more consistant at the track then the 6 speed since the car is not currently a a4 i believe you won't have to do any work on the pcm or at least i didn't
