Keep factory ws6 ram air or?????

Keep factory ws6 ram air or????? Im debating what I should do with my intake set up. The car is a 96 formula ws6 m6. Should I leave the factory ram air or get a CAI of some type? Do LS1 lids fit? Is it worth it.?
On the LT1s it does seem to be a real ram air. More so than the LS1 set up.
Also has anyone ever tried using that SLP ram air duct that pulls air from behind the front bumper and up into the bottom of the air box.
