What was the Caprice motor?

What was the Caprice motor? I know there was the iron headed LT1 in the caprice, but i cant remember the engine code for the smaller engine that had a very simmilar looking intake to the LT1 that came in the Caprice's. Does anybody have the engine code for it, or have a pic of it?
Re: What was the Caprice motor? Even better than that, I've got an L99 (the 265 ci V8 baby LT1) in my 94 Z28. I dropped it in about 3 weeks ago. Heinous crime, but it was either put it in, or let the car sit with a broken LT1 for the next 6 months. At least this way I won't miss the fall convertible season. 
I just wanted to drive my droptop - it's been broken since March. And I spent under $350 for the whole thing (including motor, gaskets, fluids, and I did all the labor).
The intake *is* an LT1 intake. There's no difference. I bolted my ported / ceramic coated LT1 intake to the motor. No problem. I do have the L99 intake & TB tho, and they're the same.
Aside from the iron heads, the only difference you can see from the outside is the angle of the spark plugs. They are perpendicular to the heads on the L99. On the aluminum headed LT1, they are angled. I had no problem with clearance and my SLP single cat headers tho. I'm running AutoLite spark plugs, which are .2" shorter than NGK's.

I do have some pictures, but again, there's no external difference other than the plug angles. Oh, and the lack of horsepower.
