What was the Caprice motor?
I just wanted to drive my droptop - it's been broken since March. And I spent under $350 for the whole thing (including motor, gaskets, fluids, and I did all the labor).The intake *is* an LT1 intake. There's no difference. I bolted my ported / ceramic coated LT1 intake to the motor. No problem. I do have the L99 intake & TB tho, and they're the same.
Aside from the iron heads, the only difference you can see from the outside is the angle of the spark plugs. They are perpendicular to the heads on the L99. On the aluminum headed LT1, they are angled. I had no problem with clearance and my SLP single cat headers tho. I'm running AutoLite spark plugs, which are .2" shorter than NGK's.

I do have some pictures, but again, there's no external difference other than the plug angles. Oh, and the lack of horsepower.
