Do our cars have a significant loss of power when the CEL comes on.. mine has been on almost since i got the car .. i need a new air pump .. and for some reason the other dya it went off for like 2 days and my car ran like a champ and felt alot more torquie ? Thats when i noticed the CEL wasnt on. Ialso think its time for a tune up it has 65000 mi and i dont think the plugs or wires have ever been changed..

yea usually depending on the code you can loose some power due to the engine cutting back so it doesnt run as hard and ruin anything
